Pre- and Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP and PEP) are two new tools to help prevent HIV. We're here to help make sure you have what you need to create a personal HIV prevention strategy that works for you.
PrEP is a once-a-day pill for people who do not have HIV, but who are at risk of getting it. The Southwest Center's "PrEP Guys" are here to help you figure out if PrEP is right for you. They can also help you set up PrEP medical appointments, navigate insurance coverage, and find ways to help you pay for PrEP. Email the PrEP Guys at ThePrEPGuy@swhiv.org or call 602.307.5330 to ask questions or to set up a free PrEP navigation appointment.
Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) is an emergency prevention method that can help stop HIV if you've been exposed to it. If you think you might have been exposed within the last 72 hours, don't wait! Call us at 602.307.5330 as soon as possible. If we are not open, call our PEP hotline at 480.648.1374.
