Discover Support and Healing at Southwest Center's Intensive Outpatient Treatment

We are thrilled to unveil our latest offering at Southwest Center: the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our IOP is designed to empower adolescents and adults seeking mental health and substance use treatment on their journey to wellness.

"LGBTQIA2S+ individuals continue to struggle with navigating recovery while also developing a sense of community," shared Malik Ashe, the Therapist facilitating the group sessions. "I designed this program because I want individuals in recovery to engage with each other authentically and understand the importance of community building and to develop their sense of community."

This 8-week program creates a safe and clinically structured space for LGBTQIA+ individuals who are struggling with substance use or mental health or have a co-occurring diagnosis. Topics for substance use include common challenges experienced within the community.

Key Features of Our IOP:

  1. Program Benefits: Gain mutual support and learn early-stage relapse management and coping strategies.

  2. Community Connection: Our IOP is a safe space for everyone, including persons of color and LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. Interact with others experiencing similar events.

  3. Education and Tools: Over eight weeks, participants gain valuable education and practical tools to rebuild communication and interpersonal skills that translate into their personal lives.
